So, Recently, I've had what could be called an "Awakening" or "Realization". My orientation has shifted away from the material to the spiritual. I'm still the same person but now sublimated with a decided focus on building and maintaining my connection with Our Divine Father, Creator, Eternal Source. I realize now from where I stand that Realization cannot be conveyed to those who are not ready or to those who do not themselves yearn for it.
When we ignore or are indifferent to the Divine Beneficent as the Source of All we see on this earthly plane, we become spiritually starved (a feeling of lack and pain which we don't understand and cannot seem to keep away permanently regardless of our circumstance) and will continue to be depleted till we reach a "breaking point". At this point comes a realization that there are limits to what the ego can accomplish and an eagerness to submit to and align with the Greater Power. With this comes a REAL awareness of His Presence in our every moment of life, acknowledgment and respect towards all life forms, an eagerness to please God. It's a wonderful place to be. :-)
With my new eyes I've found the Lord's Prayer to be quite amazing. Emmett Fox (1886 - 1951), a Christian mystic and Metaphysical teacher had some very interesting things to say about the Lord's Prayer.
Thought I'd share.
On a light-hearted note, My hubby brought this profoundly relatable pot parody to me and it touched me. Exactly what there needs to be more of. ;-)
Here's one for the Green Cause... :-)
I shall leave off with a video presentation I put together which contains many of Ralph Emerson's (1803-1882) Transcendentalist ideas. Quotes were culled from his essay, "Self-Reliance". Hope you get to ponder on these splendorous thoughts and become enriched by them as I have.
Self-Reliance.
Actually looking forward to some deliciously cool Winter weather...It's going to be a nice one. : ) There's something about the Fall/Winter Holidays & Season that just "tingles" my spirit. And I don't mean the presents or the food. I mean for instance, the way it makes me want to move for the season to a fire-warmed cabin in the snow-covered woods where Nature is rich and the spirit of Winter is all around you bringing it that much closer to the heart. Ah, the smell of burning wood and nutmeg in the air...
Do enjoy this season! ;-)

ReplyDeleteVery interesting. Reminds me of the idea that the Tempter and the Redeemer are one and the same.
